AMD ADX265OCGMBOX Athlon II X2 265 Dual-Core Processor (3.30 GHz, 2MB Cache, Socket AM3, 65W, 3 Year Warranty, Retail Boxed) Review

If you have one of those rare budget or value AM3 socket mobo's that only has a TDP max of 65w, your options become fairly limited. The decision came down to a slower triple or quad core of 65w TDP or this one. For $70, the price to performance ratio, I went with this one. Windows Experience Index yields a processor subscore of 6.6 for this processor. Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, this system seems to handle Hot Pursuit 2, Fallout New Vegas, Mass Effect 2, and Crysis pretty smoothly. It only seems to show it's limitations on COD: Black Ops. Video processing sped up a lot over my old Dual-core using convert-x to dvd for transcoding and also seems to have a lot less errors. Overall, I'm pretty impressed with it and have yet to have any complaints............

This am3 bundle is great. It come all built with the cpu and ram installed. The cpu cooler aint to bad, while playing crossfire i get around 20'c temperature which i am really happy about. Also 1333mhz 2gb ram is great as well for all your applications. If you have 64bit os the max this board can have is 8gb which is great. The cpu is also good. I have a ati 4850 and i dont see any bottlenecking which is good. For games like bf3 you may need to upgrade. You can install a phenom II x6 because this motherboard can support cpu's up to 95w....
